During studies at Birmingham, students will learn to apply analytical, statistical and computational skills to formulate, analyse and solve mathematical problems - and crucially, effectively communicate the solution. Preparing for a career in high-level management, students will also spend a third of the course in the Birmingham Business School, studying the theory and practice of running a business, including economics, marketing and finance. Students will leave equipped with highly sought after skills, easily standing out in a highly competitive job market and ready to confidently take on their chosen career.

Depending on performance, at the end of year 2 students may have the opportunity to transfer onto the MSci.
