Bachelor of Applied Science - Environmental Engineering (Co-op) at University of Waterloo: Tuition: $58,898.00 CAD/year (Scholarship Available)
Water has become a major issue in many parts of the world. In Canada's largest Environmental Engineering program, students will focus on issues such as water management and treatment, remediation of surface water and groundwater, biotechnology, and how pollutants travel in water and how to remove them. Students will take courses from other departments in Engineering and from the faculties of Environment and Science to learn to address environmental issues from various points of view. They will graduate with 2 years of co-op work experience, and students can earn money to help pay for their education, and be able to try out different career areas before they graduate. The co-op work terms could be in the field, a lab, or an office. In their final year, students will work on a major design project in an area that interests them. When they graduate, students will be ready to provide vital services in consulting, industry, regulatory agencies, and government offices.
